Help and Support Center MS solution

After all the threads on here offering various solutions as to why the search
option of XP Help & Support Center returns no results from the KB, nor does
the 'Did You Know' feature update, I exercised my option to get a free
support request as mine too is not working.
Tonight I received a phone call from MS Research, who said that none of
their people could get it to work either, after 4 hours of trying. I am
apparently the first person to report this (probably in the UK anyway) and so
now it will go off to whoever to sort it out.
An update may or may not be issued, or, more likely, a solution will be
found at 'their' end so to speak. I was advised not to hold my breath.
So happy computing everyone and we'll wait and see. In the meantime, forget
the option to search the KB from Help & Support Center - it don't work!!
Night all!

Here in the Netherlands I can get results from the MS-KB, this works good.
But the 'Did You Know' feature update just does not work. So there may be a
difference between several countries?

Hi Jan,
Ms-KB works now because somebody, somewhere in Microsoft fixed it. Also the
clock time updating works now, which it didn't before.
The 'Did you know...' still does not work.
See the other threads on here with the full story.

I forgot to say that the KB in the NL has been working good the whole past
year. While in the US there were some problems like I've read.

The clock time updating still doesn't work in the NL. (Via
time.windows.com). I am very curious about the "Did you know-update.

By the way, there's much more information on the American newsgroups than on
the Dutch of course, it's very interesting.

Kind regards

Jan,
Yep, the clock time updating doesn't work now here in the UK - I just
checked it. There is another thread on here specifically to do with the
clock. Looks like a lot of people are having this problem.
In the UK, the KB search results were out of action for quite a long time,
but were restored a couple of months ago. I think it was the same in USA.

Anyways, it's working now ........... fingers crossed.

Hi Mal,

I now use another time-server and that works good.
I suppose that others do that as well.
