Help and Support index

The Help and Support index has disappeared - I just have a red x in the upper
left-hand corner. I have SP3 installed on my computer, and it's been there
for a long time. Any help in getting my index back would be most appreciated.

- right clicking on the start menu,
- click properties, customize properties button,
- when the "Customize Start Menu: windows opens, select Advance tab
- scroll down to "Help and support "(between favoirtes and "may
Computer")
- ensure the "Help and support" is checked,
- click OK button,
- OK
2, failing the above you can create your own shortcut: with
C:\WINDOWS\pchealth\helpctr\binaries\helpctr.exe

Run a thorough scan by doing the following steps:
1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete
cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Tabs:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing
Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all
non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.

Click Start, Run. Type:

regsvr32 hhctrl.ocx

Press ENTER.

That worked!!. I disabled some of the add-ons that I didn't recognize (there
were 3 in there) and I ran the regsvr. Thanks so much for your help.

Glad to Help even the Troll/Impersonater didn't mean to help you but cause
