Help and Support - can't click on highlighted items

When I click on highlighted items to open them in Help
and Support, nothing happens. I get another "notes" box,
but can't go to the site I'm clicking on to open. I've
used XP on other computers and this is not a problem.
Any help out there?
 
I think my message got lost in all the ones asking about
the OS and the worm! Someone help, please!

Yes indeed. Install the HTML Help update detailed in:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;q811630

I've had to install that update twice so far to cure exactly that problem
because other Internet Explorer patches appear to overwrite it, despite
what the note below appears to indicate. :^(

The latest patch that caused the problem was Q818529 dated 04 June 2003
and the bulletin description for that update includes the following
paragraph:

As with the previous Internet Explorer cumulative patches released
with bulletins MS03-004 and MS03-015, this cumulative patch will
cause window.showHelp( ) to cease to function if you have not
applied the HTML Help update. If you have installed the updated HTML
Help control from Knowledge Base article 811630, you will still be
able to use HTML Help functionality after applying this patch.
