Help Again

I reformated my hd and everything went well but now all
of a sudden my main hd c: drive is visible but it has the
icon like when windows doesnt have a fiel a associated
with a program icon and when i double click it it says
windows cannot find startsetup.exe and it gives me the
otpion to browse for the program.I tried windows repair
but it didnt work i tried the windows repair with
installing a new windows thing I am out of options. thx
for the help when recived

I suggest you might benefit from this advise.

It sounds like you reformatted your hard drive.
Afterwards, you found that the "MyComputer" icon is the "generic file" icon.
Hmm. when you reformat your drive, it should erase everything.
at that point, you need to re-install the operating system (win XP)
and whatever programs you wish to have on your PC.
You lost the data files (word processor documents, saved games, etc)
when you reformatted your drive.

From your description, I am not sure what you did.

You don't say much. How many drives do you have installed? Which drive did
you intend on formatting? Did you try this from within Windows or command
prompt? Did you use a format utility? Why did you think this would be a good
idea and what were you trying to accomplish? Have you ever formatted a drive
before?

the problem i am having is with my main drive i have 2 of
them this drive is the one with xp on it and yes this
isnt the first i have reformated hardrives before i used
the windows cd to reformat cause thats the only way i
know i was ahving problems before i formated like viruses
and weird stuff soo i reformatted to solve those problems
which it did but now i have that problem with my main
drive i can still use windows and such just not access my
main drive hope this helps.
