HELP! activation freeze computer

If anyone have any solution to this, are greatly
appreciated!! I want to activate my win xp but everytime
i click on the activation icon, it open the blue
activation window but it freezes my computer @ the same
time so that i can't click anywhere on the computer and
have to restart it with the computer's on/off button.
Help, please....

Have you tried to activate while in Safe Mode?

You may have to choose the phone option to activate if XP can't find
your internet connection in Safe Mode.

Start - Run and run the two lines
regsvr32 licdll.dll
regsvr32 regwizc.dll

Then, rather than click the icon, wait, get on the net and then go to
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Activate Windows
and try that
