Help! 2000 Server will not boot

I have just rebooted our 2000 server and it is hanging on
the splash screen. I have tried to boot from safe mode and
that will not work, I tried the "last known good
configuration" and that hangs as well. this machine is has
the disk mirrored and I am trying to boot from the mirror
but that does not look like it is working either.
I have not made any system changes. any help would be
great.
