Hello Everybody...
After installing ME and XP in different partitions (2GB-FAT32,18GB-NTFS
respectively), where one can't see the other (thanks Koldbear), I had been
using XP only...without much problems...touch my head !!!
On getting cable connection and having failed to configure XP settings after
installing LAN card, I switched to ME and was some how successful in
connecting to the net...

Now my probem is that ME restarts frequently, all on its own, and sometimes
I get BDODs with different error messages at different times, viz--
1)VMM(01)+000132CA Error:OD:0028:COO142CA
2)Error:OD:0000:DCF7E1D4
3)Error:OD:0028:DE56BB39
4)OE:0187:BFF8E64B
etc etc
I have tried re-installing ME..but to no avail.

Is there any hope for ME (pun intended!!)?
Thanks

You're probably going to get a better response in one of the ME newsgroups.

Hmmm. microsoft.public.windowsme.general. Let me think for a
minute....................yep, definitely an ME group.

I agree with Noel on this.
Check your video drivers. When you update your video drivers in one OS, you must update them in the other, or else there will be conflict when you switch from on to the other. Me is bad about this.

As far as your LAN setup goes, I need more info on how you have it setup? There should not have been a problem with XP.

I suspect Mr. Currie replied to the post in the
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general ng, as reflected in the newsgroup
list above.
He didn't observe the ng posting list either.
