i cant get into my pc at home im the only user not
disabled but now i dont know the password i cant remember
it i dont have a reset disk and i didnt write it down now
i cant get in unable to do anything and i cant format it
now what am i going to do in need help!!!

the proplem is i got super important info that i must
keep and if i do a clean install it will delete it so i

Have you tried logging on using the
hidden "Administrator" account accessible be hitting F8
during the diagnostic phase of boot-up? The default
password is blank (just hit Enter) unless you have
changed the default. This will log you on with
administrator priviledges. Good luck.

Rather than doing a clean install, why not try a repair/install from the
XP CD? This will not reformat the partition nor will you loose your
customization. You will have to reinstall any updates or service pack
you have installed. It is a painless process and has been effective for
me. It does require knowing the key code for your installation. If you
don't have the CD you might be able to borrow one from a friend and use
your key code. If you don't know the key code, I'm at a loss to suggest
anything other than those already suggested.
