I don't knwo what happened this time. But it refused to install USB
drivers for one of the ports or all. And iam stuck with what i think
is a dead modem ??

I rolled back the drivers and this seems to knock somthing looose and
then it fond my modem. For some reason no matter what USB port i
pluged my modem into it was dead. Hows that work ?>

My mouse and keyboard was connected to use and they worked fine.

Oh well all is good somehow i got it working., Was going to do a full
reinstall and try again.

The funny thing is that XP found my modem at first then just did not
after that.

I also get this drum sound like somthing has crashed when i boot up
XP. going to see if its still their since i got the modem working. In
Hardware all seems fin not exclamation marks or question marks at all
?

Thats so weird.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

You plugged your modem into a USB port? How did you do that? Your
keyboard and mouse, yes. Or, are you talking about a highspeed (DSL)
or cable modem? Give us some info, someone out here will be able to assist
you.

Its just a normal DSL 1.1 modem :)

Dlink 200.

Just no power lights came up for it on the modem. somehow XP did not
load USB drivers or somthing.

Its all working now though. Never happened to me like that before.

If you have a DELL computer, the USB Problem is a known problem and the DELL
Web Site has information on how to fix it.

My prob is fixed.

And i agree no USB modem but mine works so why pay more for another
