Headings & Styles

Doc

I have a technical manual that has to be reformatted with headings and
styles. Nothing is consistent from the way it was originally done by many
users. Can I clear the old formatting styles and reapply new styles so that
they are consistent throughout the document. I am having a hard time
understanding or trying to find the correct way of doing this. Thank you

Just select all (Ctrl+A) and then press Ctrl+Shift+N; this applies the
Normal style to all paragraphs. After that it's all manual work! :) Use the
Styles pane (Word 2007) or the Styles and Formatting pane (Word 2003) to
apply styles as appropriate.

Note that it is a good idea to print the document before you start
reformatting; that way, you can see the original look while you are working.
