heading styles & contents page

Is it possible to use styles in a header so that I can generate a Table of
Contents page. For example,
if I have the word "Flinstone" in a Header, marked as 'Heading 1'
and "Fred" and "Barney" within the normal page marked as Heading 2,

can I generate a TOC like

Flinstones....1
Fred.........1
Barney......2

A TOC cannot be generated based on text in a header; since headers are
designed to repeat on every page, the TOC wouldn't know what page number to
use. Instead, put the heading in your document text and, if desired, pick it
up in the header with a StyleRef field. If you take this approach, you'll
need to insert a section break before every Heading 1 and enable the
"Different first page" option (File | Page Setup | Layout) so that the
Heading 1 doesn't appear twice on the first page of the section.
