I am prepaing one document, it contains 10 chapters, every chapter a new page
& for every chapteri have given a name.

Now i wanted to give respective chapter name in Footer.

Is it possible ? (other wise i have to split the documents into 10 files).

Use a STYLEREF field in the footer to repeat the chapter title in the
footer; this will work if a particular paragraph or character style has been
used to format the chapter titles.

Alternatively, separate each chapter by a section break, and unlink the
footers. Then you can type in the chapter title text in the footer for each
section.

it's working. Thank u sir,

i have another dought. if suppose i have changed any respective chapter
name. Then the footer(where i have mentioned respective chapter name) will
change automatically ? or manual i have to change ? Is there any process for
automatic change ?

regards,

Naveen

With a STYLEREF field, the updating would be automatic, yes.
