Header Doesn't Show

When I open a new document from a template, the header doesn't show unless I
click on View Header/Footer. Also when I email the document the header
doesn't show. This wasn't true previously ... the header always showed when
I opened a new document. How do I correct the template so that the headers
shows upon opening. Thank you.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | check the "White space
between pages" box | OK. Also make sure you are working in Print Layout
view.

Sorry, All of those things are correct in my settings, but the
header/letterhead still doesn't show.

Thank you for this replay. Does someone else have another suggestion, please?

See http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/WhiteSpace.htm. Note that the View
tab will display the correct settings after you have used View | Header and
Footer, but if you haven't made any other changes to the document, it will
still be saved with white space hidden. See also “WD2002: Rules for ‘Hide
white space between pages’†at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=297564
