Why don't you just remove those extensions from the Add-in Manager?

The Add-In ..\AVG8\avgxch32.dll could not be installed or loaded. etc...

I have just started having the same problem with another user on PC running
XP Home Edition since I upgrade to AVG Free 8.0. I never had this problem
with the previous versions of AVG and have no hassle when logged is as myself
(the installer), the other user is also an Admin user.

Removing AVG from the Outlook Add-In Extension manager obviously fixes the
problem, but also disables AVG from scanning incoming and outgoing messages!

Any suggestion for to get this to work is greatly appreciated.
NB: I've unistalled and reinstalled AVG several times under both Admin
accounts,which never fixed the problem!

You don't WANT any AV scanning incoming or outgoing messages. It causes a
myriad of problems, including duplicate messages, messages not sending, etc.
It is a waste of time when you have your AV set for real-time scanning.

Thanks for the reply. I know there are arguments for and against using an AV
programme for scanning incoming and outgong messages (I'm still on the
fence), however, until I upgrade to AVG8 (Free) we had no problems with
Outlook, and, as mentioned previously, when I am logged in and use Outlook, I
have no hassle whatsoever!

I've unchecked AVG in the Outlook extension manager for the other user and
obviously, the error messages do not appear when Outlook starts-up. Under my
user account the Add-in is still active and not giving me any problems (so
far!).

The problem is more an annoyance then any real concern, as this appears to
be a bug introduced in Ver 8.0, although I've read messages of similar eror
messages related to AVG going back to ~2004!

You might need to rephrase that then to "we had no problems with AVG" ;-)

"however, until I upgradeD (that's a "Dee" = past tense) to AVG8 (Free) we

Or I could rephrase to "until I upgrade to Version 8, I had no problems with
AVG or Outlook!"

How does that sound?

Russ,

This has also been plaguing me with Outlook 2007 ever since I installed AVG
8.0. This took care of it. Thank you.

The path to the add-ins in 2007 is below:
