Error message: c:\windows\system32\avgxch32.dll(avgxch32.dll

I am running Cloudmark's Spamnet spam remover within Outlook 2002. I am also
running Grisoft's AVG anti-virus program.

When I try to delete a large number of emails from the Spam folder (choosing
Edit/Select All/Delete) I get the following error message:

"c:\windows\system32\avgxch32.dll could not be installed or loaded. This
problem may be resolved by using Detect and Repair on the Help menu. Out of
memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again."

a. Even if no other programs are open, the problem still occurs.

b. Running Detect and Repair makes no difference.

c. Worst of all, I cannot close the error window. When the error occurs I
have to remove the battery from the laptop and reboot.

When I reopen Outlook I get an message saying that
c:\windows\system32\avgxch32.dll wouldn't allow
Outlook to function properly the last time it was run and would I like to
disable it. If I disable it, I can empty the Spam folder.

How can I prevent this error from recurring?

Both my Spamnet and AVG Anti-Virus are fully updated.

I am running XP Pro on P4 2.5Ghz and 512Mb RAM.

Thanks.

try reinstalling AVG. If that doesn't correct the problem you might need to
disable the AVG email add-in.
