HDD is not detecting

Hi all..am having IBM thinkcentre L9A11704 system with XP loaded ..HDD(SATA
HDD) is not getting detected ..chkd in bios also..tried to make it automatic
detect but failed to do that.....coz of undetected HDD after restarting it's
going to DHCP with revolving cursor page ...plz assist me

Your problem is your BIOS not detecting the drive. Make sure SATA and power
connector are firmly attached to the drive.

Check that your BIOS is in face set to autodetect the drive and your SATA
controller has not been disabled.

Check the drive in an other PC, the drive may be broken.

You need to read your motherboard manual, or IBM help.
Using a Sata drive can involve both bios settings and installing drivers

Hi..all connectors are properly connected also chcked with other system of
same model giving same problem....suggest me how to change the bios settings
to detect the HDD...

Did you not read my sentence, in case if it fails in other computer, the
drive is possibly defect.
