I've a 20G HD connected as a slave at the moment. It is showing 2 drives,
but I cannot get access to the second which I don't think has anything on
it. I've tried formatting it with the Windows format but it refused to do
anything.

Any ideas on what I do next ? I'm running W2K.

Hello
Which Windows format - fat32 or ntfs.
How it refused - > what error message.

Go to Administrative->Logical Disk Management-> and see how is your drive
listed, how many partitions of what type, are drive letters assigned to
them.

Thanks - problem solved. I didn't know about the Disk Management facility.
Partitioning sorted out and formatted.

I think you must put your 20 G hard disk on other controller.
