HD Audio

Anyone here have HD sound on their PC yet?

with my 9800 there is this cable my mate from work says that cable runs from the graphics card into the sound card. (my motherboard onboard sound somehow)

Anyone got experience with this?

My sound will run on a coaxial cable input.
Will it only be HD sound on gameplay? What about my music?

fwiw HD sound makes FA difference imo, my friend has a proper HD projector and amp with top quality speakers and i can't tell the difference between that and normal 5.1 surround sound

depending on what 9800 it is ( i assume this is an nNvidia card?) HD sound AFAIK is sent over HDMI so if you have that then you can output to an HD amp and speakers etc
