Having problems with Norton's and Outlook Express

C

Charles Shahar

Hi Everyone: When I send an outgoing Outlook Express email with an
attachment, it takes an incredibly long time to scan the email. It usually
fails to send it because the server times out. Even when I disable Norton's
it still tries to perform the scan. Any suggestions? Thanks,

I think the error is: 1003,9 . But I am not sure.

Been having the same problem and it is nearly always somebody sending me
something that has been forwarded several times without snipping or massive
graphics.

You said you've disabled Norton - have you tried going into the Options and
disabling scanning outgoing email? I believe unless you do this it will
still scan email, strangely enough.

As long as your real-time resident scanner is activated, there is no
reason to scan incoming or outgoing mail.
