having a problem with mcafee firewall

Hi.

Not sure what the problem is with my mcafee firewall. Sometimes when
I start my pc the red M turns black and says Firewall is not enabled
and if you double click on the M I get "Security center didn't
initialize properly". And sometimes the red M stays red but if I right
click on the M and select firewall none of the options come up. I have
cleaned out the registry and removed the program via add/remove
programs but that hasn't fixed the problem... Any ideas? TIA

I think you're in the wrong NG asking the questions. You may want to try
comp.security.firewall.

I will answer this poster or at least try

1. Is the xp firewall enabled if so disable it .

2. also try a full clean up not just the add remove way thi sis shown here
