Me too! I belong to far too many forums so I just had to drop out of a lot of them.

I'm still here though (in spirit)! :)

The forums are good for picking up other's feelings and ideas on the various different subjects. Also nice to be able to ask questions and not feel too intimidated.

Like it!

Try Anandtech Forums and post a simple and genuine question and see how many immature responses you get. I stopped going there after a few postings ;)

I agree... I was part of another forum... and some one totally ridiculed my advice to someone... I can understand if what I said was not 100% correct but it was my opinion. But I decided that was not a place for me to share and learn. Besides... they could never get as far as we did with the fridge pc.. they would be stopped dead at condensation ;)

FWIW my POV is that no question's stoopid.

Everybody needs help at some time and we're all at different levels of understanding.

Time was when I bought my first RAID board (an Abit K7 I think) I got in a right two and eight trying to set it up. So I joined a forum, and asked questions. Fortunately, I got help.

Those who ridicule what they see as simple questions are just smug, arrogant stupid idiots.

And likely as not just aged around 15 anyway. Sad but true.

I must admit sometimes having to hold back a smirk, a laugh or even just a broad smile when reading some questions but what the hell, I still try and help.

And I really think I don't know that much, just have about nine years accumulated knowledge of home computers, is all.

But I have read a lot of problems on forums everywhere and some of it must have stuck ;)

That is what I like about this place, we don't seem to have any smug know-it-all gits, just a good core of folks who are willing to help.

Dang, this be getting too soppy, we'll be cueing the violins up next for one of them mushy Hollywood sentimental soundtracks.

But, you know what I mean, I think ;)

This is a great place.
Everyone is at different levels at different things. This forum is full of apples and oranges and I might be a peanut.
Someone might know more about apples than me but I know about peanuts.
That sounds funny!

As time goes on computers will expand into coconut and it will go bananas.
We can help bananas with apple and oranges.

I like everyone here. I hope knowone is intimidated or insulted by my post.

Well for what its worth, I like the way everybody has treated me so far.

Not been on here for too long, but it seems a really friendly place to be. To those who have helped me, Thank You, to those who haven't, maybe next time.:thumb:

I'm pretty new to the Forum, but I post when I can :)

Love posting and just browsing the Forum - it keeps me sane and stops me from falling asleep at work :wall:
