I have windows xp home edition. I just bought frontpage 2003 and want to
create a website. How do i set up a server? Do I have one already on my
computer and if so how do i set it up?

Windows XP Home edition does not come with a web server, nor does it support
one that directly supports the FrontPage Server Extensions. That said, you
can develop a web using FP 2003 without the need for a web server, you just
won't be able to test any pages that rely on dynamic content (seach page,
database results, etc.) without publishing to some server.

Hope this helps,

Mr. Fitzpatrick,

So I can still use frontpage 2003 with windows xp home edition and create a
webpage and put it on the web? I am sorry to sound so ignorant when it comes
to this. I guess my question is, can I still use my frontpage to create a
website and use the website online?

Thank you Tom "Pepper" Willett. I have pulled up their website and asked
them some questions. You are a great help. I had purchased the computer
with windows xp home edition far before I thought about creating a website.
My wife new that I was interested in starting a small business to keep me
busy and have some fun with and therefore bought me the FrontPage 2003 for
Christmas. I hope it all works out for me and thank you again for your great
words of advise and wisdom.

Thank you Chuck Davis. I appreciate your help and words of wisdom. I am
going to look up the minnesotashopper.com and see what they have to offer as
well. I wish I had known that I was going to get the FrontPage program
before I got the computer and went with the professional version instead of
the home version. Your words of wisdom were of great help. Thanks again.
