Have to re-configure network after reboot

Almost every time I reboot my system I have to re-
configure my home network (for my computer) because it
isn't seeing my router. Sometimes I'll have to unplug the
router and plug it back in before I can get my computer
back on the network. I have a Sony Vaio with a Linksys
wireless router. My computer is plugged into the router
and the other computer on the network is using a wireless
adaptor. Also file sharing between the two computers on
the network is extremely slow. It can take 3 minutes to
transferr a 3Mb file between the two systems.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have the same type router. Go into the router's GUI and
be sure that you have selected the allways connected
option. If connect on demand is selected, you will have
to try several times to get logged on.
