Have to press spacebar twice to get a space

A friend of mine is having a problem with her spacebar. I don't know if
she's using Express or Outlook but she has to press the spacebar twice to
get on space between the words. Anyone got any suggestions?

Best bet would be for her to post herself, with the specifics. If she's
using OE, she needs to post in an OE group (these are for MS Outlook) but if
she is having this problem in other apps, she should post in a group for her
operating system.

and in other programms the spacebar work correct?
 
Yes, as far as I can tell. I've run across this problem before but for the
life of me I can't remember what I, we, or someone did to fix it. The first
thing I told her to do was reboot - just fer grins. She knows enough to get
done what she needs to but she's not real savvy with more advanced things
so, posting to a newsgroup might be a little much for her - at least if no
one is actually there to help her get started. She's 1000 miles away and I
just communicate with her through email.
