Start w/spacebar problems

G

George Mooth

I have enabled "start w/spacebar" in the bios. I have set power
to "minimum settings". I can start with the spacebar for a few
starts and then it stops working and I have to start with the
start button. If I then go in and change to "office desktop" for
instance and press apply; then put it back on "minimum settings"
and press apply, the spacebar will start the computer for a while.
Then we go through the same thing again after a few starts.

Settings don't stick! Rats!

Can anyone please assist me with this problem?
Thank you,

This is not an XP OS issue. Post to a hardware newsgroup or contact the
computer's tech support.

If it's not an OS problem why is it that I can make it work for a
while through the OS? Just re-applying the minimum settings in the
power settings in Control Panel? It's just that the setting doesn't
"stick". And that's an OS problem. If you don't know just say so,
don't blow me off to the hardware newsgroup.

This is activated through hardware and the BIOS. I believe it's a hardware
issue, so that's why I sent you there. If you don't want to go then don't.
It matters not to me what you do.
