Has my email been sent?

I wrote a email and clicked send, but immediately realized that I sent
it to the wrong recipient. So, I immediately pulled the internet
cable out of my computer. So, there was a copy of the email remaining
in the outbox, but the email was also in the "sent" box. How do I
know if the email has actually been sent or not?

It's probably been sent...but the only sure way is to contact that
person and ask.
