The actual error message or any other message you get would help to
diagnose the problem,

No one can help unless you describe the problem in some detail. Error
messages, etc.

Hi, Barbara
I'm sorry you haven't gotten more help here. I thought your post 25 hours
earlier would have gotten more responses. It had all the info that people
responding this time need in order to figure out whether they have any
knowledge that might help you.

Did you read and try any fixes suggested by the one response you got last
time? What were your results?

Now that Paul had pointed out your prior post, maybe you could logon in safe
mode and use the administrator account, or activate the administrator
account in normal mode. I have only installed S&TO 2007

Thanks, Charlie, and you have a good point. I actually posted a very
detailed thread on this forum but hadn't seen any response when I decided to
start a new thread and wait for responses before posting the details this
time. The errors I got were Error 1303 & 1304, even though I was running
the setup_ST.exe program as the administrator.

Now that Paul has pointed out that there was actually a response to that
thread (which I missed), I will go find it, try the suggestion(s), and
report back here. I will also try what John suggested in a post under this
thread. (Thanks, Paul and John.)

Hi, Paul.

Thanks for your help here and on the Streets & Trips forum. I actually
missed the one response in the other thread you mentioned. Thanks for
pointing it out. I will go look for it, try the suggestion(s), and report
back here.

Thanks again.

Hi, John.

Thanks for responding and for your suggestions.

I have actually tried logging on in safe mode but setup_ST.exe would not run
in safe mode (at least when I tried it). What do you mean by activating the
administrator account in normal mode? Do you mean running the program as
administrator in normal mode? If so, I have been doing that already and
keep getting Errors 1303 or 1304.

Thanks again.

So it seems nobody has successfully installed Streets on Vista. Hooray for
Vista!

Just FYI

Seems pretty bad that they build a OS and there own software doesn't install

I have Street & Trips 2007 & AutoRoute 2007 installed and running
successfully on my old Compaq X1010US laptop that has 2gigs of system
RAM, a 1.3 gigahertz processor and 32megs of VRAM running on Vista
Ultimate running in Windows Vista Basic mode.
Sorry, but I can't remember if I had to install them using compatibility
mode or not. I don't think I did.
Both apps are running just fine.

Barbara,
On the DVD, navigate to the Streets Folder, then the MSMap folder.

Then double click on "Data" icon. It actually works! (This is actually
for 2007) Hope it helps you.

Hi guys!!

Couldn't install it either on my 3-month old HP. What is wrong? Any
suggestions?

Hello! Am getting the same problem - S&T 2008 wont install on my Vista. Any
suggestions wd be a big help, thx.

I was able to install, replacing an earlier version 2007, on my machine. It
did kill my Money Premium 2007 as after installing it, there was a .dll
error when starting Money.

I was able to install S&T 2007 with no problems but when I use the directions
or GPS feature the program stops running. All other functions seem normal. Hp
dv6458
Vista Home Premium.

The post is about 2008. I have no problems with any feature of 2008, and
2007 ran perfectly before I replaced it. My problem, as stated, was that
Money Premium 2007 stopped loading immediately after the install of S&T
2008. My next task was to replace Money 2007 with Money Plus 2008 which
went smoothly and both now work. Vista Ultimate 64
