Has anyone heard of a virus that plays party sounds?

Hello all,

my computer has freaked me out three times today. With no advance
warning from Norton, my PC plays a sound that is like someone taped a
party for like 20 seconds, then they hush the noise down and it ends.

I scanned with Norton and Ad-Aware and Spybot, but they found nothing.
The last occurrence was after the full scans.

Is there a new virus about that plays sounds? Any info appreciated,

Viruses or Trojans, no.

There are "joke" programs that do stupid things.

Uhmm. I guess these do not get picked up by virus scanners, then? Ah
what a nuisance. And it's the wife's computer too.

They may detect "joke" programs if they are designed to and the settings in the AV software
is enabled.
