Has anyone come across OST & PST file errors?

M

Marcus

My user is getting this error message below:

This error usually appears if the OST or PST file you are using is:
- Unavailable
- Protected with file permissions
- On a share on a server and the network is down
- Corrupt

To correct this problem, store the OST or PST file on the local computer.

You may also want to run the scanost.exe and scanpst.exe tools to verify
file integrity.

More information about this error message online.

But my question is the user had access to another users mailbox &
directories. Up until last Friday they can no longer access it now. Is there
anything else I can do if the above doesn work?

Thanks,

Marcus

Issue resolved.

After checking for non-existent *.ost files I checked for PST files & came
across 2 & then I repaired one.

But that wasn't my original issue. Because one of the users left the company
I did a check & found out that their accound in AD had been disable thus any
users with access to the mailbox wasn't getting access any-longer.

The users mailbox worked fine after we stripped the account down in AD to
just allow it to receive emails. :)
