Hardware/software help needed re dual monitor

I coordinate the use of PowerPoint for services of worship. Anyone who
does that will appreciate that the worship leader doesn't always follow the
script!

We are about to upgrade the computer we use for the presentation and I
believe it would be easier for us if we had access to the dual monitor
feature. I am aware that we will need a machine with dual video
capabilities but is there anything else we would need? We run XP and
PowerPoint 2002 SP3.

Any advice would be appreciated.

It's a funny thing. Nearly everyone who mentions that they use PPT for worship
services starts off by mentioning this same probl^H^H^H^Hopportunity. ;-)

Have a look here for a couple of good tutorials:

Thanks Steve

I guess I was just concerned that I might need more than just PowerPoint and
dusl video card and didn't want to end up with egg all over my face after
the upgrade.

Again THANKS

Hey,

Here's a cool thing. I just found Freepath (www.freepath.com). It's made for
business, but man, what a great thing for worship! The guys at our church are
using MediaShout and it's an absolute dog. I just bought the download for
Freepath with my own credit card, they are selling it for the next, (I think
they said) week at $100 off the normal price. (Which is $249 on the website.)

We use almost all PowerPoint at our church anyway and Freepath makes it so
you can play PowerPoint on two monitors, but you can also play movies and
pdf's and websites and flash, and a bunch of stuff I'm still learning. I
thought I'd have to redo all my PowerPoints, but we don't. And we are going
to try to have all five of our worship songs open at once ( you can do that
too in Freepath), so we can keep up with the band.

So for about 150 bucks, I'm thinking we're going to jump to Freepath AND
PowerPoint.

Fletch.
