Dual Monitor support

I realise that this is a hardware problem byt hopefully someone here has
either experienced the problem or can poit me in the right direction.
We recently acquired a Dell Inspiron 6400 with an ATI X1400 videos card.
After some difficulty we got the dual monitor feature in PowerPoint up and
running. My question is "How do we set it up so that the dual monitor
feature within the ATI settings is the default"?

Hi Rex,

You said...

Assuming that you have all of the most recent drivers for that video
card, I would normally expect that you will then do ths... In Control
Panel > Displays configure the "Settings" tab so that you have both
monitors active. If the graphics card comes with a "Control Centre"
such as the "ATI Catyalyst Control Center", use that to set up the
defaul conditions for the monitors.

You can download various useful ATI utilities from their website
(http://www.ati.com).

If dual monitor support is enabled in the operating environment, it
will be accessible to PowerPoint.

Chris.

We have no difficulty getting the dual monitor feature to run. the problem
is that each time we boot we need to go through the steps in the ATI
Catalyst Control Centre to enable the extended desktop and dual monitor
feature. I will go to the site you suggest and see if I can find anything
there.

Thanks

Rex
