I upgraded my windows 98 operating system to windows xp
home.. after doing do, i am finding that my processor and
hard drive are not handling it well.. so i want to revert
back to windows 98.. i have the cd,s but i cannot enter
BIOS to instruct it to load from the windows 98 cd..
What do i do to get it to install 98 back onto my
operating system.. I might add that it will not load
while XP is running.. is supposed to boot from startup..
thanks

You'll have to download a bootup (startup) floppy.... (www.bootdisk.com)...
check the BIOS is set to look for a bootable floppy drive before the hard
drive...

Boot from the drive.

Delete the partition and format the hard drive... then reinstall Windows98.
The Windows98 CD is NOT bootable.
