Hardware Problem Error

When I try to install new devices (game controller and Palm Pilot) the software installs up to the point I am told to plug in the device. Then I get an error message that says, "A problem occured during hardware installation. Your hardware may not work properly". I have tried on two different computers and get the same message both times. Any solutions?
 
Carl, if that's a warning about Unsigned Drivers Ignore it and continue
with the Install of the Software.
