hardware installation

Hi, I just bought an MP3 player. When I tried to install it through the usb
port, a found new hardware wizard popped up. I went through that and it said
installation
failure. I tried to install on a different computer and it installed
automatically. I know it is the computer because i tried a different mp3
player and got the same result. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix
this. Thanks

Please use any other usb-port on your computer and check it?
At the first time to install a usb device you need administrator rights
