Hardware configuration problem

MB: Aladdin5 2A5KKSMC-00 Award Bios V4.51PG A586B VER:
A.7 80GB Western Digital HD. Windows 98SE pesently is
installed on hd. Trying to install Windows 2000 using the
install as upgrade option. It runs through the check for
possible problems that can be encountered section, nothing
shows up on the little screen as a potential problem, yet
the installation is halted because of a hardware
configuration problem. There are no yellow exclamation
marks on the device mgr. Any help would be appreciated.

I suspect your hardware is too old. I haven't seen a V4.51PG BIOS for a
long time. I imagine the date on the BIOS is 1997 or earlier. It will
not be compatible with Windows 2000. What class processor is on this
system?
