How to install HD greater than 137GB in XP

I have an HP Pavilion 7955 running Windows XP Home with service pack 1 installed.
I have Atapi.sys ver 5.1.2600.1135.
Registry setting EnableBigLba set to 1.
Western digital HD 250GB.
Award BIOS ver 3.11 11/22/01.
I can only see 137GB. What am I doing wrong?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If your BIOS is older, then it will not recognize the larger hard drive.
You need to either 1) update your BIOS; or if #1 isn't available 2) get
a pci controller card.
