Hello, my wife's AMD CPU is fried. I want to take the harddrive out and put it into another computer, which happens to have an Intel processor in it. WinXP is on the drive. I didn't have high hopes for it working, so I wasn't too let down. It bombs out while loading amdagp.sys.

Is there even a way to do this?

I tried doing a repair install but when I enter the Admin password it just takes me to C:\Windows

Thank you very much Carey. I see a step I missed that now seems obvious.

Well, it wasn't anything to do with the change. The Chip and Board were
both bad and I'm suspicious of the power supply itself. I preach backup all
day long, but do you think I had a recent one at home? Of course not!
