Harddisk always accessing

Hi
I can always hear my harddisk churning away even when im not doing any
thing. Is this normal, can I stop it ?

Have you got the Indexing Service enabled? Start>Run - then type in "services.msc" - without the quotes. Scroll down the list until you come to 'Indexing Service'. Have a look in the 'Status' column - if the Service is started, right click on it and select 'Stop'.
 
Yes its already disabled.
I put the page file on to a different (quieter) drive.
Im beggining to think its this new noisy 10000rpm Raptor HD I now have as I
didnt hear it before

Could be because you put the Pagefile onto a different drive. Some programs will look for that pagefile - even if it isn't available on the system drive.
