Hi folks,

Is it possible to get a 1TB HD that will run off my laptop's power rather than getting one which i have to plug into a power socket?? I have tried ebuyer and ebay and so far i haven't had much luck.....i was hoping for a 1TB with 7200 rpm and 32MB cache by a decent maker for about a 100 quid....what dya's think of my chances.

I would say you've got no chance. You can get a WD Passport drive for as cheap as £60, but that's only a 250Gb self powered drive. Reckon you're on a hiding to nothing mate.

Thanks lads,

I'll keep searching though....i think i will just have to partition. It's chasing me down LOL. Either that or just buy a stack of 16GB mem sticks.
Today is partition day. Oh, and i think me DVD writer is on the blink.
Thanks again.

 Zzzzz
