Hard drives seen but drive letters not assigned

I just reinstalled XP after a hard drive problem. When I go to disk
management my Hard drives are all shown as online but there is no drive
letter attached to them. How do I assign drive letters without reformatting
as I have plenty of data that I do not want to lose?
Any help would be appreciated

Right click the hard disk and choose

when I right click I only get help and delete partition as options.

Open Disk management under Computer management - Open "Help" - option to
assign drive letters via Windows or Command line listed.

I do not have the option of changing or assigning drive letters
