i got a virus on my computer from kazza had to reinstall xp
when i reinstalled i lost my 2nd hard drive is there a way i can get it back
and ifso how can i go about it.the computer recognize see it in the system
menu how do i reformat it

You might want to try un-plugging it, and plugging it back in (i've seen this
suggested before). What I would do is un plug it, turn the PC back on, make
sure it is completely removed from the system via device manager, shut back
down, plug it back in, and then see what happens. (Please note: I have never
done this before, and I am as unsure as you about what may happen, but if I
were in your situation that is what i would do. I'm telling you this so you
can ponder on it. If there are things on the drive, or [in the event of
needing] replacement is not an option, stand by for other suggestions from
others).

Your solution to your virus problem is analogous to having the engine in
your car rebuilt because the radio stopped working. There are numerous
virus removal tool, some entirely free of charge, that would have found and
removed the virus. A reinstallion of XP was not required. If you
reinstalled XP to the C: drive and did nothing to your other hard drive,
which I will assume is an actual physical hard drive occupying one of the
bays in your case, then your other drive should be fully intact. Windows
should recognize it and you should be able to access it.

If you want to format the other hard drive, stick the Windows XP disk in
your CD drive, boot from the disk, as you did to reinstall Windows, and when
the screen comes up to offer you drives to format and partition, choose the
drive.
