Hard drive prpblems

I'm using Xp pro.
I put in a a hard drive in the 'slave' position, it is a Fat32 drive from my
old Win98 system. Most of the folders and files can be seen and read etc,
but some of the folders can't be seen and an error box pops up saying the
hard drive is not 'formatted' do i want to format it? well of course I
don't, but why is this happening, and how do get to the files in those
folders?

Try putting the drive on the secondary controller.

Are you sure you've jumpered *both* drives properly? Some drives need to
be jumpered differently for master and master-with-slave, for instance.
