iam new here but i think there is one other option for this.boot ur system from winxp cd and make partitions from there and after formatting restart ur pc and then boot ur pc from win me cd .
hello: y dont u boot from winxp cd and make partitions from winxp ? just make partiotions and format ur c drive and then reboot ur pc and then boot ur system from win me cd .iam sure u will get better result.
