hard drive problem

Cracker Jacks

One of my physical hard drives does not show up in my computer how ever it
is in device manager and no problem with the drive is indicated. Seems to be
there I just can not access with explorer etc. Any idea?
 
Is the drive partitioned and formatted? Click Start, right click on My
Computer, left click Manage, in the left pane click Storage and then Disk
Management. See if the drive is present, right click and select format.
 
Well it is now. I don't know what happen. The only way I could retrieve the
drive was to "initialize it" in Win Xp and then reformat it. Fortunetly the
only thing I lost was some back up files. I got it back now though. Very
odd.
