I am replacing a 4200 rpm drive in my laptop with a 7200 rpm. Before i
replace the drive i would like to do a baseline to see what a 7200 drive
difference makes. Can anyone walk me through on how to do this with the
performance monitor or any other utility. Also what do i look for and
compare to see the difference.

thanks

be cAREFUL THE DRIVE DOESN'T OVER HEAT, LAPTOPS ARE DESIGNED WITH A
SPECIFIC SPEED HARD DRIVE IN MIND, CHANGING IT COULD GENERATE TOO MUCH HEAT

Very good point. Too bad he may not see your comment as it appears you
posted "out of thread"!
