My machine at one time or another has had up to 4 hard drives at one time,
all totalling somewhere near 500-600 gig. But recently I redid my PC an on
put the Maxtor 120 gig and 250 gig HDs back in. It worked fine for a few
days, then all of a sudden it started giving me trouble. Not booting an such,
at first I thought I had a virus. But today I disconnected the 250 gig drive
an it started like normal. Ive used numerous jumper combos that should work.
But when ever I connect the 250 gig drive. it just wont boot, an im stumped
on why it worked then suddenly decided to stop.

Is there something I dont know bout?

Hi,

With the 250GB drive connected, can you at least get to the BIOS? If so, how
is it detected?

If not, then the drive may be bad. It could be causing a power problem in
the supply line (shorting out, etc).
