Hard drive issue

Getting BSOD -- in safe mode as well -- drive still seen in bios, but
booting off CD -- file system not recognized (NTFS -- not listed --
while slave drive is fine). Would running recovery console fix mbr or
fix boot be useful -- then could do a checkdsk /f as well. BSOD says
says to run chkdsk /f. Computer is used to run an instrument in lab --
files on HD would like to recover -- what are the recommendations?? Thanks.

Go to the hard disk manufacturer's web site and download their diagnostic software
respective to your hard disk. After the test, you will know if the hard disk is bad or
not..
