Hard disk space disappeared after format

I have a 300 GB hard disk, which I reformatted and reinstalled Win XP
on. After doing this, only have 127 GB of available disk space, no idea
what happened to all that space. Any help? Thanks.

When you reinstalled the XP OS onto that newly-formatted disk, did the XP
installation CD contain either SP1 or SP2? If it did not, that would be the
root of the problem. The XP OS must contain SP1 and/or SP2 before the full
capacity of HDDs > 137 GB (roughly 127 GB in binary terms) will be
recognized. So let us know if that was the situation and we can go on from
there if you want.
