"Your pointer changes to an hourglass when you hold it over the taskbar for
a few minutes after starting your Windows XP-based computer"

Hence I doubt the SSDP Discovery Service is the underlying culprit since
Windows 2000 does not have this service. And it happens there as well. It
does have Plug and Play that's for sure so maybe it is just Plug and Play
which causes the issue?

Peter I do not care if it doesn't happen to you. It does happen in Windows
2000 and I never said it happens to everyone as well as that article did not
say it happens to everyone. You are the troll. You troll me. That is the
definition of a troll. A troll is not someone who posts relevent articles a
troll is someone who follows a person from post to post accusing them of
being a troll. You do that very well Peter.

Strange. I have Windows v.5.00.2195 with SP4 and it does not happen here.

Aside from that I guess you did not read this one from a link inside yours.
Also it does not happen to all.

Fishing by trolling again George?

There is no previous post. This is how George posts all the time. It is always about a MS-KB and he hopes to draw somebody in to his web and then points out that the MS-KB that he posted is wrong and he found the error.

His past posts are exactly the same with different KB's

Why don't you just killfile him then? Wouldn't
that be easier than getting upset with him in the
forum?

Uncle that's asuming Pete doesn't want to be upset. I think we need to
rethink what would seem to be a normal human response not to put ourselves
in a position that upsets us. Pete I guess just isn't human.
