I have a pc, WinXP Home, SP2. and every now and then a problem arises
(not every time). When I try to shut down windows the required way
(Start > Turn Off Computer > Turn Off > a window comes up saying:
"Saving your settings" and just stops there.
I have tried hitting esc.; cntrl, alt & delete and nothing happens no
matter what key(s) I press. The only way to make it go away and finally
shut down is to shut it down manually. (And I get no warning about not
being shut down properly upon reboot.)
I went to event viewer and it shows nothing wrong....
The only thing different is I DL'ed the free Spy Sweeper and ran the
once a month cleaner, both from MSN. (nothing found) Any ideas on what
could cause this hang?
